Q.Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every engineer at Forte is Gas Safe registered, which by law is required for any work on your boiler, gas appliances or flues. All our engineers also hold NVQ Level 3 in Gas and Unvented systems and are City & Guilds certified. Certificates are available to view on request.
Q.You don't list a phone number — how do I get in touch?
The quickest way is the enquiry form on the contact page, or an email to info@forteheating.co.uk. Laura runs the office and the diary, and reviewers regularly mention getting a call back within the hour — often with a visit the same day for anything urgent.
Q.What's the extended boiler guarantee about?
Forte is a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer, which means we can register extended manufacturer guarantees of up to 12 years on qualifying boiler installations. That's cover only accredited installers are allowed to offer — an ordinary installer typically can't register anywhere near it.
Q.How much is a boiler service or gas safety check?
A Boiler Service is £75 + VAT and a Gas Safety Check is £80 + VAT; booked together they're £140 + VAT in a single visit. For hourly work the rate is £75 for the first hour on weekdays and £50 per hour after that. A Powerflush is £450 + VAT for up to 8 radiators.
Q.Do you cover my area?
We're based in Farnham and cover Surrey and the Hampshire border as standard — Guildford, Godalming, Haslemere, Woking, Camberley, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet and Alton. Our commercial and school work extends into London and Kent. If you're just outside, send your postcode and we'll tell you straight away.
Q.Can you work in schools and commercial buildings?
Yes — it's a big part of what we do. All engineers are DBS checked, with Enhanced DBS clearance specifically for education sites. We run school boiler and maintenance contracts with 24/7 cover and priority 2–4 hour breakdown response, plus full commercial heating, gas testing, TMV testing and plant work.
Q.Do you install air source heat pumps?
Yes. Joe leads our heat pump work with six years' experience — from suitability assessment and system selection through to installation, servicing and performance optimisation, for both homes and commercial sites.
Q.Are you available in an emergency?
Forte is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, for genuine emergencies — no heating or hot water, boiler leaks, unusual noises, carbon monoxide concerns and radiator faults. For contract schools we hold a priority 2–4 hour response.
